Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (L, D)
| AM: | Depart your hotel from 8h00 for a 3.5 hours drive through fertile fields and mountains toward Mai Chau. The scenery changes dramatically from cityscape to flatlands and finally entering the valley with its the towering limestone cliffs. Arriving in picturesque Pom Coong village, you will be greeted and treated with a simple local lunch while soaking in the atmosphere of the magnificent Thai’s home. |
| PM: | After lunch you cycle through the lovely villages in the valley of Mai Chau. You will see evidence of how life here has traditionally revolved around agriculture, their daily routines such as planting rice, herding buffalos or building traditional stilt houses. After cycling return to your host family for dinner and spend the night in their stilted house. |
Day 2: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B, L)
| AM: | Awake for breakfast with your host family and enjoy the tranquil morning atmosphere of the village. Spend this morning hiking and observing families weaving brocade products, enjoy a coffee with the friendly villagers and do some handicraft shopping. |
| PM: | Lunch is served back at the village and the return journey to Hanoi begins. As the car reaches the top of the Mai Chau Valley, you will see spectacular views of the valley. The arrival at your hotel is approximately 17h30. |
