The 1 st floor introduces a 15-minute movie summarizing the history of traditional medicine of Vietnam in the room designed like an institute of Royal Physicians. This is an ideal
destination for those who want to learn about traditional medicine of Vietnam.
The first things we can see at the 2nd floor are teapots which are used to make tea or to process herbs in hot water. People used to not distinguish tea and medicine. In “Notes of Going to the Capital”, Hai Thuong Lan Ong revealed that in Trinh’s palace, there is a separate building to take medicine. It’s called “tea room’. Bowls and cups are also used to take medicine. Besides the teapots, there’re lime pots of different designs. Lime pots tell the owners’ status. Tourists also can admire scales of different periods, gloss bottles, ancient drug cookers, eye-catching wine bottles and drug gourds.

On the fifth floor is an old house frame in the 19th century given by a physician in Hanoi. The 5th floor of the museum is featured with tiles printed with “Longevity” to pray for healthy life and longevity. Wooden frames are carved with the images of ginseng and herbs. Visiting the 5th floor, visitors can admire elaborately carved paintings of 15 typical physicians in the history of traditional medicine based on their personality and lifetime.
Cham tower
